Sleeve
Sleeve is a lampshade designed as an entry to the Pratt ICFF booth competition "Design for a Dollar". Curated by Professor Mark Goetz, the competition asked students to consider the possibilities for design when the budget is extremely limited.
Taking a cue from another project, the Salvation Stool, Sleeve recycles discarded and unwanted wool sweaters from the Salvation Army. Using a single sleeve and a discarded apple juice bottle, the lampshade was created to accommodate hanging pendant lamp fixtures from Ikea.
